Do you know your MP from your MSP? What about your local councillor? If you’re concerned about an issue at an international, national or local level then get in touch with your elected representatives to see how they can help you bring about change.

Not the only one concerned about an issue? Why not start a petition calling for the change? This is a great way to raise awareness of an issue and help to achieve a positive outcome. Often, Scottish Parliament Committees and the Scottish Government put out a call for views from the public on a range of issues. This could be about changes to a particular law, policy or practice. Find and take part in consultations that interest or impact you by visiting the Scottish Government Consultation Hub and check out the Scottish Parliament Calls for Views.
