Calling for votes at 16

As the leading charity for girls and young women in Scotland we work hard to encourage our members to play an active role in their communities and in our democracy.

In 2014, we joined forces with other youth organisations across the country and the Daily Record to back votes for 16 and 17 year olds in future Scottish elections.

Following a successful campaign the Scottish Parliament unanimously voted to grant 16 and 17-year-olds the right to vote in 2015.
