New volunteer recruitment process

The welcome and induction we offer new volunteers should reflect our values. Every volunteer enquirer deserves a timely reply. We should be open and honest about our expectations and do our best to be inclusive and caring. Being a member as an adult should be a fun and rewarding experience while also bringing huge benefits to our young members.

It is vital that all new volunteers are recruited using the correct processes. The following webpages and documents can support your county executive with the onboarding process of new volunteers.

Remember that recruitment policies and processes are set by Girlguiding and should be applied to all new and returning volunteers and young members who are turning 18. Following the correct policies and processes are essential for keeping our members and volunteers safe.
