Become an active adventurer with our new challenge in partnership with Sustrans!
Our latest pack, in partnership with Sustrans, challenges you to use active travel and helps build the skills you will need to travel actively more often.
Active travel could mean walking, cycling, scooting, or wheeling. You can choose how you decide to travel actively and that is why these activities are so great! The Active Adventures challenge pack assists members in staying active, being knowledgeable of their environment, and having fun. There are many benefits to active travel including stronger communities, greener local environment, and happier people!
There are 4 sections to this badge and everyone is invited to complete a final active travel challenge.
The activities will be marked as suitable for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides or Rangers, but each unit can complete whichever activities from the 4 sections unit leaders feel are most suitable for them. There are loads of activities to choose from and it is not necessary to have bikes or scooters to take part. We encourage you all to invite experts, enthusiasts, parents or volunteers to your unit meetings who can help lead these activities.
Check out the activity pack for more information on how to become an active adventurer. You can download the plain text version here.
