This course is open to all members of Girlguiding Scotland aged 18+ who would like to:
This course is particularly suitable for leaders wishing to take their units outdoors and meets the First Aid requirements for walking qualifications and Duke of Edinburgh expedition supervision.
The course will use blended learning and will follow all guidelines in place at the time of the course. This course can be adapted to suit particular needs, but will be quite intense as the full 16 hour contact time is required, and will involve being out in all weather conditions. The teaching times will be Thursday 7pm – 9.30pm (on Zoom), Saturday (arrivals from 9.30am ready to start at) 10am – 9.30pm and Sunday 8.45am – 3pm.
Accommodation is in bunks, and you will need to bring towels, sleeping bag, pillow case and slippers. No outdoor shoes are allowed inside.
Please note, you must be willing to follow any Covid-19 measurements put in place to protect all attending the event.
