Out and About Challenge 2023 – Make a Splash

With summer just around the corner, it is time to enjoy the warmer weather by having fun and adventure with water. What’s more, you can explore your local area, learn more about the wildlife and support charities who work with water.

We know that getting outside is so important for young people. It gives them an opportunity to boost their creativity, soak up the sunshine, and improves sleep and mental wellbeing. Through this badge we hope you learn something new about water and make some new friends whilst splashing about!

How does it work?

There are three different sections for this badge.

1. Discover water
2. Fun with water
3. Adventures with water

To earn the badge, please complete 1 activity from Discover water and at least 1 activity from the Fun or Adventures with water sections.

You can adapt the suggested activities to fit in with your unit and local area.
